Hi,
This is probably going to make me sound really bad and inconsiderate but I would like some advice and peace of mind.
So today before I drove back to college for the week, I was outside spending time with our five week old EE cross chicks. We just introduced them to the rest of the flock a couple of days ago. I was holding one of them near our EE rooster when he bit her neck and ripped out a chunk of feathers and some skin with it (I should have known better but I didn’t think he would react the way he did.) You could see the meat on her neck.
We took her inside and cleaned off the blood and put an ointment on it. She’s got food and water and my mom said he seems to be doing ok, she’s just upset cause she alone.
I don’t have any pictures to show, but do you think she’s going to be ok? I feel really bad about it and I pray she doesn’t die… Does anyone have any advice?
