Hi! My name is Cyndi. I just wanted to officially introduce myself as a new flock mom. And I love that there is a template to complete!

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

Super new to chickens! The idea popped into my hubs' head when we were having brinner (breakfast for dinner) and he remembered seeing a sign that read "chicks" that day.

We got our first chickens and a fixer upper coop/run today.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
5

(3) What breeds do you have?
3 Easter Eggers
1 Red Rhode Island
1 Brown Leghorn

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?

While researching how to take care of chicks.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

Phew! I have a ton of pets in our petite bayarea sized home including 2 cats, 2 dogs, 1 sulcata tortoise, and 2 sons (teen and young adult ). Current hobby is trying to keep the zoo in order and taming the baby monster dog.

I also like to read, bindge watch, and relax w a glass of wine when able.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

It looks like I covered most of it in 5. I'm also a social worker on top of being a home zookeeper. :-)

Any newbie advice would be appreciated. They are two weeks old today!
