Beautiful bird, is it fertile? I would love to purchase its chicks to have similair haha, haha. Let me know!

I most likely won't be breeding her, unfortunately. I was able to talk with her previous owners (her name is actually Ester, according to them), and I'm thinking she's older than I thought, as in, she could be in her retirement years. If you are interested, she is a Light Brahma, which a lot of hatcheries have, including Hoovers, so you might be able to get some right at TSC.

I went to the feed store today, and they had just received an order of Cornish Cross chicks and no, I didn't get any. They were all chirping so loudly and were all fighting for the heat lamp. A couple of them didn't look so well, which I let the store owner know as he was there. Anyway, here's a picture of some of the chicks:

It was my birthday! One of my favorite things on birthdays is the birthday cards, and my Mom got me this card and had to edit the writing a little. She said everything fitted except for this one thing: I don't drink coffee.

This will be the last day of this little fun thing. I think it's Blueberry (one of my new hens) who is laying her egg on this shelf that's in my spare coop, instead of the nesting box I have for them. I'm planning on moving the new birds into my flock tonight, so she'll *hopefully* will be laying her eggs in my flock's nesting boxes.
