(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We are brand new to chickens. Bought 24 chicks at TSC a week ago, they said they are 2 weeks old when we got them. Although we've noticed some are more matured than others, so we separated the older ones from the younger looking ones for now.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
24 chicks total
(3) What breeds do you have?
6 barred rock
4 leghorn
2 starlight green egger
6 Rhode Island reds
6 ISA brown
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
IDK, so far watching their crazy antics
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Hunting, bowling
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We have 2 cats, one inside, one outside. 2 kids, grown up. 2 grandkids, 1 on the way. I work on amusement equipment (jukeboxes, pool tables,video games, etc.) and my wife works for a dental insurance company.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Found it looking up how to take care of these chicks.
