Chick not able to peep

I have a chick that is about a week old who cannot peep. She tries but no sound comes out. She was pasted earlier but her vent is clear now. She is otherwise acting ok, eating and drinking but she hasn't peeped for several hours. Is this ok?

It sounds like the chick is very weak and peeping takes a lot of energy. Make sure the little one is eating plenty of food, getting enough water and is warm. Some chicks are weaker than others. Good luck with your baby
