Electrolytes are for initial treatment of birds suffering heat or stress issues. Not for use all the time. If you wait till they finish it, with only 6 birds, that water is sitting in a heated brooder (assuming you are using a heating pad) for longer than 24 hours. The sugar in it will cause bacterial bloom, which could make your chicks sick, and kill them. The probiotic is not such an issue, but certainly is not needed for very long. Once their guts are populated with those bacteria, the probiotic has served it's purpose. What is the temp in the brooder under the heat source, and what is it away from the heat source? It's super important that the chicks be able to get away from the heat, ideally the temp should be 20* cooler at the cooler end of the brooder. In a heat lamp, plastic tote, or even cardboard box that is often not possible.
