I know this issue has been addressed on older threads, believe me, I have been reading them all!
My baby chicks hatched on July 29, and arrived two days later via the mail.
When they arrived, they were in excellent condition, and when I put them in their brooder they happily drank the electrolyte water I prepared for them, and voraciously ate their chick starter crumbles. They have been eating and drinking well, and have been active. Other than two or three getting pasty butt, which I took care of, there were no issues.
I began to notice that one little chick didn’t seem to grow. (She was one of the three who had the pasty-butt episode, but she is over that now). At this point, her flock mates are twice her size. Even the other chick who is a barred Cochin like herself, and who was her same size when they got here.
I did everything I have seen in the way of advice. I have been feeding all of them hard-boiled egg-yolk every morning, I have two waterers out, one with nutri-drench, one with ACV. All the chicks drink both of these, and love the egg yolks. I give my tiny chick a drop or two of Poly-vi-Sol baby vitamin in the morning. I watch and she is eating and drinking, but at this point, the other eight chicks do tend to crowd her out when competing for food. I have to watch that.
This morning I am noticing that she tends to stand off to the side of the crowd. She seems to be less “enthusiastic” than the other chicks.
Does anyone have any other advice for me?
Should I put her in her own brooder? Maybe with one of her flock mates who is a little “calmer” like she is?
I think I have the food, water, and supplements covered, but I just don’t know where to go from here.

I had a chicken like that. She was always smaller than the others and still is but she is perfectly fine. She might just genetically be small. But as long as she seems healthy she should be fine.

The lethargy would worry me. She may have some sort of birth defect that keeps her from growing normally.

I wouldn't put her in a separate brooder, but if she gets picked on maybe separate a larger brooder for her and give her a couple of calm friends on her side. If she is completely separated from the others that will create a whole new set of problems later when it is time to integrate and she is still very small.
