One of my chicks (out of four) is not growing. I have had to clear her vent of waste numerous times but besides that, everything is fine. She runs around, drinks water (with electrolytes and probiotics), and eats plenty of feed. She seems plenty lively. I’m just concerned about the fact that the rest of the chicks have begun to feather out and she only has a few feathers on the tips of her wings. Please provide any advice you may have. Thank you!

I have a mixed flock of 3 week olds and my SS was very slow to grow and get feathers. She is still about 2/3 the size of the BR, EE and BA however she eats, drinks, poo looks good and is a pushy little thing. Some breeds apparently grow slower than others. I was initially really worried about her but she seems to be doing great!

Thank you so much, I’ve been worried sick. I’ll keep an eye on her and update this thread when I notice more growth!

One of mine (out of 21) osnt growing either. She's a two and a half week old Delaware who is as tiny as she was the day she arrived while her D and other sisters are all double+ her size. Like yours, she's lively, eats and drinks as much as (if not more than) the others, and constantly has pasty butt issues to tend to every morning. Hopefully they're just runts and end up growing. I'm glad to read that it's not super uncommon with the posts I've read here.

I am happy to say that (after the few weeks it’s been), she has grown and pasty butt has disappeared! I’m sure the same will be for you!
