O my! Booties? Where does one get chick booties? Or make them?

Cut out pieces of cardboard in the shape you want the feet to be, then place tape over top of each toe in the correct poaition, with the tape going between the toes to stick to the cardboard.

Wow! I've got a lot to learn Poor little thing is so fragile right now I am reluctant to stress him Or her I will see if she/he is stronger tomorrow It can hobble around and the legs are straight so that might work What kind of tape is best? And thanks!

I used the thick fabric tape you find in the first aid aisle.
If you have help, it's a lot easier. And as I saod, the sooner the better because as time goes on their bones harden.

What in the world have I gotten myself into?

Thank you so much for the wealth of info, Kathy and Subhanala too. I will read the last one tonight when I have time to concentrate on it, and save the site. Also, try to take that picture and upload it. Maybe even get my profile done! I am doing a little dip every half hour or so. s/he is drinking it but not offering to drink on it's own And of course I have to go out of town tomorrow Sigh

Well, this is not going well at all. It was enough stronger yesterday I thought we could try the booties this morning, but now it seems dehydrated in spite of all efforts, won't open it's eyes, and generally miserable. I think enough is enough. Can anyone suggest a very quick and humane way to put it down? I might be able to get a sleeping pill, and I suspect a few grains would do it since one half of one will work with a sick kitten.

Some heavy duty garden sheers I've heard are quick and easy for chicks.
