I have a chick which became paralyzed with curled toes last Tuesday March11. See thread:
https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...eet-only-on-her-legs-pics-up/20#post_13041103

Now I've been giving her rooster booster for 2 days, and she seems more perky, and up and tries to move but still walking on her hocks with feet curled.

How long does it take for a chick to recover once vitamins are administered? If this is permanent paralysis is my only humane open to put her down? That last question may seem dumb, but I didn't get many hens out of this bunch of chicks and I lost several hens last yr.

Thanks!

He is a link that covers leg issues and diet for chicks including vitamins. Rooster Booster may not have all the vitamins the chick needs. https://sites.google.com/a/poultrypedia.com/poultrypedia/poultry-podiatry Hope it helps. Good Luck!

Thanks for the link. Put her down this morning, hocks were getting red(not raw), and she did not seem to be improving, past trying to move around more, but legs still not working. Hence the red hocks. Didnt want her to suffer for 3-4 wks. But thank you for the future reference.
