Here is our Rhode Island Red, I think she's about 4 wks old in this photo.

We have a big dog pen that we use as a chicken coop. Babies stay in there until they are old enough to walk around in our back yard and then they learn to go back into the pen at night to be safe. This photo is the 1st time these babies were free to walk around in the open yard and standing guard is "Banty Boy" our rooster. The chics are,starting from the right: 4 wk old Barred, then 2 sex-links about 6 wks, a Rhode Island Red about 6 wks and in the way back on the log stump is one of those birds that lay the blue/green eggs (which sadly we dont have anymore) who was about 4 wks old.

Light Brahma chick, about 5 days old

Blue Swedish and a Runner (I was hoping they could slide in under the Quail category....you did mean to say ducks were OK too, didn't you?) Just over 5 week old Blue Swedish and 8 week old Runner.
