CHICK PICS Anyone setting eggs today ( 11th/Aug/09)?

Hey guys,

I just set 7 eggs in my bator so i was wondering who else will be setting eggs 2day ! i have a mixture of 4 Buff susex eggs one Silver Spangled Appenzeller Spitzhauben and two mystery eggs

.... so lets see what happens ! , was thinking we could compare candle pics!

I'm not incubating, but my Silkie hen started sitting on 2 eggs. One on the 11th and one on the 12th.

I hope they are fertilized! I'm so excited!

I sat six booted bantam eggs on the 12th, due to hatch on the 2nd of September. They will be my first chickens, I'm so excited!

Any updates?

I candled my eggs today, and I don't think they are fertilized. I didn't take any pictures because I didn't see any dark spots or veining, just the yolk rolling around. I put the eggs back under my Silkie because I wanted to wait to make sure for sure that they aren't fertilized.

Anyone want to post candling pics so that I can compare?

wel li have 2 batches on , i'll post pics 2maro night over here time lol )ireland) but i fink frm the 1st batch 7 outta 8 are fertile and developing , the 2nd batch ... i dunno .. some seem ok , others jus the yolk and others have the veins ans black spot but only @ one side of the egg

I opened up my eggs tonight. I candled them again and saw nothing. They were not fertilized. Oh well. I cooked them up and fed them to my two girls in the coop. They were happy.

Ive got 14 in the incubator of mottled Japs. The first one hatched 2 days ago and another hatched yesterday but I lost him this morning.

Anyways I got 1!
