What were you using to candle in these pictures? I can't see anything with brown eggs. I can't believe the detail you are seeing?

I am so glad to be back online.

I just read a sad post on a chick that zipped and then died.

I am new to chicken raising and I too had that happen this summer. I have not gotten the incubator out again.

But, I have these broody cochins! Also have a pair of buff laced bany polish so I decided to let nature takes its course and set a polish egg under a cochin. Just like clockwork today on day 21 the chick was born! I am so excited. I just realized how addicting this is and I want to hatch MORE!
