Chick pipped at wrong end, should I assist?

Just to update, in case anyone finds this thread in the future. I hobbled and booted the chick and after 12 hours the boots corrected both feet and after 24 I removed the hobble and he it corrected the spraddle leg. He/she is just as healthy and fast as all of its mates. So I’m very glad that I assisted.
Great news! :)

what are boots, and where do you get them also how do you make a hobble?
The “boots” are just masking tape. You place a piece under their foot and straighten their toes into the correct position, then you place tape over and trim. (I trimmed by having light behind so I could see where the toes were and have a wide area to prevent clipping feet). It keeps them in the correct position and helps correct. The hobble you can find great articles here for, I used self adhesive tape. A lot of articles recommend vetwrap but I couldn’t get that, but I did get a huge roll at Walmart in the animal section for less than $2. Then you basically make little handcuffs for the chick in the correct position and they get used to having their feet in the right position rather than the legs splayed out to the side. When they are young their bones are very pliable so it’s easier to correct.
