You
you should definately leave that for a couple more days. Movement is a good sign, the chick might just be a late hatchet because of temperature fluctuations. Give it some timeHi all!! Need a little advice if there is anyone still monitoring this. I had two eggs in the bator that I took from under a broody to put some other eggs under her that were about a week ahead of these two. One of them hatched on Sunday night, the other was rockin' pretty well all day yesterday but now is pretty quiet. I am assuming that this is day 23 based on when I THINK the broody started sitting on them. No internal pip, no chirp, but still a little movement.
Should I go ahead and do a pip and try to see what going on or leave it another day? I have lost several in this hatch period because I think I moved too quickly and air dried them. This is my first hatch. I have read the Hatch Assist article several times but I am still kind of unclear as to when to make a move. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!
