Congrats on your new hatchling!

I use a high powered flashlight when I candle my Marans eggs. It’s better the one that is built into the Incubator.

My husband has one of those thanks for the idea.

Well I think one egg looked sloshy but three hatched and maybe one more coming at least today or tomorrow and the others are still developing I have been hand turning and thencandling at night. Just to see. I think they'll do okay besides the one. They still have 9 more days I think maybe 10

O means those eggs are really dark brown right maroon looking. Pretty eggs

Congrats on the successful hatches! Glad the others are looking good! I have 11 eggs in lockdown now to hatch on Friday. I saw movement in many on day 18, and those I didn’t see movement in look like they’re developing properly so I will hopefully have a high hatch rate. But both the Marans eggs and the Ameraucana have either really dark or really thick shells.
