chick problem.

my chick has some droppings stuck on her back side and cant do her buines. i am wondering what to do. ive tryed to wash it of but it is ripping the feathers of her bback side

I'm thinking pasty butt.

How old is she? What did you try to wash it off with? Any situations that could've caused stress? Ex: being chased by kitten, pecked by older chickens, being moved somewhere completely new at once, etc.

Press a warm damp rag to the mass and gently start to pick it away.
Keep her as near her heart source as you can so she doesn't chill.

she is about 4 days old i think, in a flock of 39, used to be 40. she just sufered from the death of her best friend, mouse. mouse died due to a broken neck. so she may be stressed.

the heat sorce is a healing heat lamp

she is about 4 days old i think, in a flock of 39, used to be 40. she just sufered from the death of her best friend, mouse. mouse died due to a broken neck. so she may be stressed.

I'm thinking its from being moved fast and thy were in the car for a long while, they are probably tramatised by one of my dogs siting and snifing the box and watching them closly but they also saw my dog chase a older chicken

Welcome to BYC! Warm soapy water and a damp rag as @DobieLover suggested. You might have to really get your fingers in there and squish it away. What's the temperature in her brooder?
