Chick protien needs

Everything I've seen is 30% is optimal for growth, but 24% will be just fine.

I could only find 24% around where I live so I supplement with meal worms. Are the mealworms making up that extra 6%? I have no idea. But the quails love them so they're happy.

Okay whew. That had been my plan (bought a 5 pound bag if mealworms. We literally don't have anything higher than 24% within a few hours of us, and there no reason for me to order mass amounts since it will go banks before I even make a dent in it

I do 30% by adding ground cat food (i would use catfish floaters if I could find them). It's really annoying but I want them as big and strong as possible. I can't find any food higher than 20% around here, which will be fine once they grow up!

Once they're a little less on baby brain, would it be okay to have an older chick in there to show them food and water? I've tried showing them the water and they don't seem to be interested in it
