Chick screaming

I have 2 chicks that just hatched a few days ago and one won't stop screaming, they have heat, water, food, I even put a stuffed animal in there so they can cuddle it. Ik people say to just leave them alone and they will stop eventually but I literally can't when he's screaming all day and night. He looks healthy and clean, what should I do? Would there be something wrong like internally? They aren't vaccinated but they do have medicated food and water.

he doesn't like being picked up so he will just freak out, the only thing I had on me was a large dog crate, do you think it might be to much space?

When we've had orphan chicks or just a cry baby chick, we play the TV nearby the brooder. A radio or boombox would do the same as they aren't watching TV lol. That always does the trick though!

Have you checked the temp? Maybe he's cold? It should be 90-95F

its actually a bit to hot but he can move around and find the right temp if he needs to as i only put the lamp on one side of the cage

no, only the other one comes up to me

This is your problem right here. It’s too hot that is why it is screaming.
Do you have a picture of your brooder? You say he can get away from the heat, but have you checked the temperature on the coolest side of your brooder? It should never be too hot directly under your heat source especially if you are using a heat lamp. The heat lamp will cause the entire temperature of your brooder to rise. If it’s too hot under the lamp the cooler area are most likely in the temperature range of where the heat temp should be which means your chick does not have a place to get out of the heat. Chicks do not need to be kept warm 24/7. They only need to have access to heat if they choose to have it.
