Chick Season! Show off your new ones!

Sweet! :love Is yours pretty friendly? :D
She's very friendly! But not a fan of touching, deals with it though, lol! Unfortunately I believe she has developed some sort of disease in one of her eyes, she seems to be blind in it and the pupil is really small (thinking ocular mereks) but it doesn't harm her other health wise so she's struttin' along well!

Sounds similar to my Lacey. Aw. Poor girl. But I'm glad to hear she's doing okay! :hugs
They're both bantams
Nice! I want bantams, but I am very blessed to even have chicks right now. :D

Aww! I really want to see what she looks like when she get bigger:D
Me too! Her wing feathers are coming in cream at the ends and she has pre-feather fluff on one toe on each foot (pekins have feathered legs and two toes feathered). Her dad is about three times the size of her mother so her final size will be interesting!

Here are my little ones! :love
(The first four are like 3 weeks old, and the last two are a little over a week).

Isabelle, the Barred Plymouth Rock. I really like her; she's friendly, pretty quiet, and minds her own business (and isn't crazy wild).

Hope I think is an Easter Egger. She's not typically very loud, and she's really sweet; she's such a darling.

Lacey is my wild and loud Silver Laced Wyandotte. She does not like being touched--PERIOD. But she's pretty friendly otherwise, so I really (kinda') like her, too.. :)

Daisy, who I'm wondering is a White Leghorn (I hope!). She's loud and a bit crazy, but has her sweet and laidback moments.

Emma is a Production Red. She's pretty sweet, and can fly more than halfway up the brooder, I think, but can't make it out yet. :)

Superchick is my sweet lil' baby. :love She's a Black Sex Link. And poor lil' gal...She just wants to be like the bigger ones.

Here they are all (I took that picture so-many minutes ago, and they're currently still all nestled down on my lap as I write this, but I have a bunch of cleaning up to do). :p
Hope's fluffy chubby cheeks are so adorable!

Hi how old are the older chicks? I did this once with chicks who were about 2 weeks old and the older ones were almost 5 weeks. Had them separated the same way for severally days then took the divider out and just watched the closely for awhile. There were also more younger chicks than older ones; not sure if that made a difference. They did well, the little ones used to snuggle under the bigger ones after a couple of days. Now the older ones are outside with the 6 month old chickens and I introduced them the same way. I’m hoping I can re-introduce the young chicks easily again when it’s warm enough for them to be outside as well! Good luck!

Late reply, but thank you for your feedback! I let the little ones wander around with the larger ones for a few minutes one night and then took the barrier out the following night since they seemed to have no issue getting along. I think they were relieved, actually, and I haven't noticed any signs of illness in any of them. I also have more 1-week old chicks than I do 3-week old chicks, which I think helps even out the size difference.
