I don't know if this is the best place to psot this.

but what is the cost range for shiping chicks? I'm going to ordder some and I'm trying to figger shiping into the over all cost. there will be less the 12 birds. I'm getting them from ideal

When I ship chicks, I ship express and the box and 25 chicks weighs right at 3 lbs. My cost with the box is around $30-$35.

I think Ideal ships priority, so it should cost around half that much.

ok thanks, now I at least have an idea

thanks Matt,
I have, those are not the charges for shipinh the birds though. with the other charges like the less then 25 for each breed/typ is $1 plus $7 for less then 25 all together. and I have seen other BYCers that have ordered 8-12 chick and only 3-4 "packing peanuts" any they are not always roos, but str of what ever they have. but if I end up with a bunch off roos for breeding, we will eat them, or I can sell them.

I guess I could e-mail them and ask though???

All together. Sorry for not clearing that up . Not one chick has died so I would recomend them.
