I have a one month old Americana chick. In the last few days we've introduced them to our existing flock, which is seven hens, about year old. In the past few days we've noticed this chick is sitting by itself under the lamp, feathers all ruffled up and head tucked into its wings. I've not noticed if its eating or drinking, but it is pooping. We've picked it up and will peep, and when we put it outside in the yard it walks around with its head kinda tucked into its body, but it walks fine. I've attached two pictures of it sitting under the lamp. I'm going to separate it from the rest of the flock, the other chicks are fine, super active, eating and drinking. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks so much!
Jess
