Chick sounds

I have one lone chick so far. It cheeps, etc like a normal chick, but as it settles down for a nap, it makes a sing song sounds. Very soft, like it's singing itself to sleep. It's a Buff Orp, if that helps. It makes me think it's a pullet. What do you think? Is this something chicks do? I am a newbie to chicks.

Yes it is they make a wariety of sounds.

High long peep=scared
gentle peep= content
rrrrrrrrrr sound=exited(they are usually flapping wings too)
Regular peep=communicating with other cheeps or you

I don't really think that means it is a pullet, the best way to tell is by how fast feathering developes.
