Chick speaking inside egg, how long to hatch ?

Yipee, so exciting. I had Egg #4 pip last night before I went to bed. No change yet, but I know it's alive by the peeping sounds. Those are my last 'singles' I'll ever do. From no on I'll have patience gathering eggs and starting them all at the same time!! Haha! Aug. 7th I should have a big hatch. I was given 44 eggs from a very nice man(Iowa Blue Chickens) and so far I'm down to 40. I have a feeling I'll lose some more before lock down. My larger incubator I made has been fluctuating too much on temp and humidity. I'm constantly fixing it. My light bulb went out in the beginning, and I only lost 1!! Temp had gotten down to 65, how is that possible? Then when humidity gets low, even the smallest amount of water makes the humidity spike. The it dries up very fast in a couple of days. I think I'll stick to the other two incubators I made.... Keep me posted Jammy.

Ugh just put a batch of 7 in the incubator yesterday canceled them today to find they ALL HAVE BLOOD RINGS I've stored them for too long about 3 weeks in 90 degree
Oh we'll now I have nothing to hatch and I'm feeling lonely my silkie chick are doing good
Maybe I should take a while of incubation
I just wanted to hatch one more batch before summer ends and school starts again

i have a brinsea and i dont no much about humidity becouse all i have to do is put in half side of the pot then both side on lockdown is yours still air of forced i just got another pip 4 out of 7 now

Just still air.... Yey on getting another Pip! Still nothing has changed in 14 hours since mine pipped last night. Hoping this little guy moves things along here soon.

if ur brooder hasa light I suggest u turn it off as light irritates chicks

its best to get a red lamp it dosn't bother them much and they sleep juring the day so theres noting to worrie about once mine stayed up all nigth well whenever i looked at them that nigth they where wide awake and i woulnt turn off the ligth becouse they could get 2 cold and...!!!

Chick #4 hatch successfully with out any help, thank goodness!! Tomorrow evening I'll candle and go into lockdown for my big group. Hoping for a good outcome.
