Chick spins in circles

We had 2 chicks hatch 2 weeks ago and they're doing great. However one randomly spins in circles. It seems almost as if it's when it's excited (feeding/giving fresh water) when handled it sits still and eats/drinks fine without any spinning.

So....quirk or should I be concerned?

Hopefully it's a quirk, but maybe not.
Check the mill date on your chick starter; it should be fed within six weeks, before some of the vitamins begin to be lost. Early vitamin deficiencies can look like weird behaviors.
Silkies have fragile skulls that are easily injured too.

Thanks, I just bought a new bag and will check it out when I'm home. They're olive Eggers so hopefully not injury related! There hasn't been anything I've seen or obviois.

I have a chicken that did the same. She did circles until she was 7 or 8 months old. Weirdo. She finally stopped. No injuries. I gave her different vitamin supplements, but none of them worked. She just grew out of it.

I have a feeling mine is just weird. She (I think) doesn't always do it. It's mostly just when getting fed or fresh water. Some times after she's handled. I guess I'll see what happens!

Yes! We named our girl Rosie, for "ring around the Rosie". Haha. She would take a few spins before she ran or walked anywhere.
