Chick starter as mush for adults as winter treat??

While I understand for some of you this might be a stupid question I’m a first timer and just trying to do my best for the gals.
No question is stupid. No one was born knowing this stuff. We all had to learn, and someone explained it. So ask anything! :) You'll learn, and you will pass information on to someone else sometimes too.

I happened to acquire a pallet of expired baby oatmeal this year for free...my flock gets oatmeal mush on the regular as a treat.

it is lower in protein (must be why I prefer bacon with my oatmeal) so good to compensate with some higher protein snacks.

Some starter would be OK, no need for it to be warm tho.
Might need to put some plastic on the walls of the run too,
just 2 of 3 walls depending on prevailing wind direction.

Only time I feed rolled oats in when it's soaked up some electrolyte/vitamin solution...and only during the coldest waves.
Served at room temp.

Me too! I told the girls today that last week was NOT winter. It's gonna get waaay worse. Sigh.
I'm just happy to still be able to pile leaves in the run and coop. Normally it's all under snow by now. And I dug up my gladiolus yesterday. I didn't know I had to that but I do now! Happy I had the time to do so. I would have been very sad as I only just planted them in late spring.

Could I make a suggestion of what you could feed your chickens as a treat?
They love quick oats mixed with a little water to form a slurry. It looks disgusting, but they like it.
