Is this even available? Was torn between dumor 20% vs flock party starter 22% organic but neither has any animal protein listed. What are y'all feeding as far as Chick starter? I'm sure I'm over analyzing this to death lol

Maybe overanalyzing but I do the same. I've seen fishmeal and porcine meal in some feeds but off the top of my head I don't remember which ones.
We used to have a feed co-op and could get an amazing variety of feeds and supplements. I'm still working on my last bag of fishmeal that I add to chick feed. I also just got a bag of Fertrell Nutri-Balancer. I'm not happy with the vitamin levels in most feeds. Nutri-balancer is supposed to be mixed with grain and a protein source to make a complete feed. I'm mixing it with Purina flock raiser crumbles at 1/2 lb to 10 lbs. of feed.

I don't know of any Chick Starter with animal or fish Protein locally. I use a 18% Medicated Start & Grow for the first 10 weeks. Then switch to a 18% Non-medicated Starter Grower or a 20% All-Flock/Flock Raiser feed after I run out of medicated. GC
ETA; I only have chickens.

Scratch & Peck starter (20.5%) has fish meal but I admittedly am not keen on their starter as I feel the grain pieces are a bit large for very young chicks plus they absolutely will only eat the pieces they want, so it must be served wet or fermented. They will also need grit to help break down the grains if you go with this option.

Thank you. That's some pricy feed lol

I just looked at both 20% and 24% Dumor chick starter here in our TSC in SW VA and both had animal protein listed.
