So...I'm getting two Muscovy babies in about a month. I'm pretty excited. I went to buy some necessities, and I picked up some chick starter crumbles. (Non medicated) I went to buy and started chatting with the lady and she said that I couldn't use chick starter for ducklings... and that I should use the flock starter. But the flock starter said it was for poultry 3-4 pounds.

Partly true, standard chick starter doesn't contain enough niacin for ducklings, so you usually have to supplement, this sticky can guide you with this.

some all flock, flock raiser,, multipurpose feeds can be used from the get-go but it states so on packages, so i don't know what kind she directed you to but i think it's a good idea to follow the directions from a starter standpoint.

I use a multipurpose feed for my ducklings but it states it's appropriate for ducklings from day 1.

Do put some pics up, after they arrive! i own a fair bit of those myself..
