Chick Stick

Hi all! I impulse bought a Chick stick from Manna Pro and I can't seem to find a straight answer on if I need to give my chicks grit with it. My chicks are about 3 weeks old.
Any recomendations? Should I just hold off until they're older?

I was not sure either, so I just offered play sand with it. I figured it was small enough for them (and I didn't give my chicks a large quantity either) funny enough, they went crazy for the sand

I have fed those to chicks without grit, and they were okay. Your chicks are old enough to eat it.

If the stuff in it is fairly well ground up (no big chunks) then they probably don't need grit. However I choose to offer grit regardless, as chicks eat everything from their bedding to whatever other junk they can get their beaks on.

I'd also only allow them access to it for a limited time a day. You don't want them gorging on snacks instead of their feed. The protein on this is extremely low compared to chick feed.
