One of my newly hatched chicks is still dragging her shell around the bator. Is this OK or should I try to remove it?

How long as the chick been dragging it? It's probably ok and will come lose. There have been a few times that I've had chicks with parts of shell stuck to them and I've been able to easily peel it off. That was after a few hours or so, though.

Although, be very careful to make sure it isn't attached to something important! It's one thing to have some shell dried to the back, and another to still be dragging shell attached by veins and things.

She's dragging it by a vein. Umbilical cord? She dragged it all night, I just took her out and carefully peeled it from the egg. It's all dried out, no blood. I put her back in the bator, hopefully the rest will fall off soon so she can join her family in the brooder.

No blood is a good sign! I've heard they can stay in the incubator for a few days. Hope it falls off soon!

The rooster in your Avatar is beautiful!
