chick still not out its been 24 hrs do i help it? its still chirping

Great, if the whole large end is off you are probably good! Some babies take longer than others so unless it was 23 days after I wouldn't recommend hatching it, I would recommend giving it an airhole if it had not already cracked the shell on its own 24 hrs after the other eggs pipped. If the end of the shell is off is his/her head actually showing? If you have opened the incubator a lot it is very likely the membrane may dry around the chick making it really hard to get out. If you suspect this than get a warm, moist paper towel and wrap it around the remaining eggs shell, (don't cover the babies head). You can safely give it another full day to hatch itself out. If you try to hatch it it could bleed to death and or not have the yolk absorbed yet so just sit still now

Ok, so you helped get the shell off? I would definately recommend a warm moist hand towel (paper towels dry out faster and I think this may be awhile still). Make sure to cover as much as you can without covering the nostrils. Than leave it be. It is only day 21 so the membrane most likely is still transporting blood and the yolk not absorbed. Wait at least until tonight (preferably tomorrow) before going any further. I know it is really hard. Try and distract yourself with other things. If baby still can't get out on its own than take clean non sharp tweezers and slowly free the membrane off the chick. If there is blood, stop immediately and rewrap with the warm moist towel and put back in the bator. Leave for several more hours so blood can retract out of the vesels and disconnect from the chick. Keep us posted on whats going on.

distracting myself aint hard today my familys having a cookout so im busy most the time if it comes out of the shell before the yolk fully absorbed what do i do?

its out and its got something red hanging off of it what is it? is it the yolk sac? its right below where the stomach would be its between its legs

It could be a blood vessel from the membrane still stuck. Leave it on until it looks completely dried out. It shouldn't bother the chick much. If the yolk is out you need to cover it with the towel so it doesn't get infected or dried out until it is absorbed. Glad he is ok so far

The towel is not needed anymore if all the membrane is off and the yolk absorbed. Just let him run around till it is dry for a day or so, than if it doesn't fall off on its own get it damp to destick it and use a q-tip to gently remove it.
