Chick stuck in membrane?

Hi there!
I'm hatching some black copper marans.. So far it's day 21 and 2 out 12 have hatched succesfully. But the third chick seems to be stuck in the egg. The egg has a crack/ hole about half way around the egg. Half of the chicks head is sticking out of the egg but the rest of the body is wrapped in the membrane. It's been trying to push out of the egg for hours now. Should I try and help it? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

A photo might be a good shot here. If it can breathe, though, it's not in urgent danger. Keep the humidity up so it doesn't dry out.

I would wait 24 hours before opening the incubator. You will risk dropping the humidity for your other eggs and shrink wrapping occurs.

It's still breathing and chirping. But the membrane is wrapped around its body so it can't get out.

Also, when my other 2 hatched, they put a crack in one of the other eggs.. Is that alright?

They have a really good article in the learning center on hatching eggs and when & how to assist - usually @12 hrs after it first pips.

I have my humidity at 70%. Should it be a little lower than that?

When they start hatching, I've seen humidity spike @74%. That can be a good thing for the chick that you might have to help get out of the egg, it won't drop too low to shrink wrap the other eggs.

you can re-wet the membrane with a warm wet washcloth. Then just loosely wrap the bottom half of the egg in the moist washcloth and see if he get out in an hour.
