Chick Survives Fox Attack

If she would've had an internal hemorrhage, she would've passed by now. Second - why isn't she eating, is it because of FEAR or PAIN? Now would be the time to start tube feeding, there are a lot of threads on this here... Do you think you could insert a tube with her jugular being the way it is?
In the case of wild life rehabilitators, their problem when receiving a wounded animal is two-fold, because the animal is not only physically injured, it is at the same time terrified (to be handled by humans). So their secret is using homeopathic medicines, administering a first one for fear, and when the animal starts eating, they give it the main one, Arnica, which is the one for physical trauma. Now here obviously she's not afraid of you, but of the fox, if she really is in shock because of the fear. Any health food store that carries homeopathics would have Arnica, it's the most used of all, a very famous first aid remedy, or you could get an emergency delivery from amazon. Do you want to get Arnica for her? It's also good for extreme physical tiredness. Arnica30.

I think the issue with her not eating is the fact that she is not walking around. She has only crossed the coop a few times to get from the water tub back to the corner she's been standing in. Now she has started camping out in the corner behind the water tub. The feeder I use is one of those feeders where they step on the platform to open the lid so they can eat. What I started doing is taking a handful of food and lay it at her feet. That way, the food came to her vs her going to the food. She did start eating! She is also holding her head up much better now!! She did leave the coop once and her sisters started pecking at her so I had to rescue her and put her back in the coop. She has a new coo she makes when I come to tend to her and it makes me smile. XO Now that I can see that she will survive from her physical damage, I am getting more concerned about her mental trauma. Even though she is finally holding her head up almost normal now, she still stays in corners and doesn't wander around.

I can't thank you all enough for the help! I gave her the water mixture for several days and she liked it. I think that definitely helped her recover as I'm sure her throat was very sore. I'll keep tending to her and watching her in hopes that she will get back to her normal self.
