I have a 2 mo old bantam sussex chick who has for the last week always wanted to lay down...i noticed yesterday it started limping..picked it up and its joints are swelled as well as the top of the foot...part of the leg and foot are white and some are dark lines...i was going to start treating with antibiotics but when I went to get it realized that the other leg is starting to get the same thing. Anyone know what this is? Is it something I can fix or would it be better to cull? Its not even attempting to walk now. No other chicks have these symptoms that its in with..

Do the joints on both legs look like that too?
Hard to know what to do - culling and sending the body for necropsy would probably be a good idea.

The joints on the other leg are not as swollen but they are getting larger (especially the large joint at the top of the leg). The red streaks and white patches are also showing up slowly on the other leg.

I don't think I would even take a guess as to what that is - testing would reveal if it's a disease that could affect your other chicks or if it's just something isolated to this one.
