Chick teatherd to his shell 8+ hours now

I have a little chick that hatched right befor I went to bed around mindnight. I should have gone aobut 2 hours befor that But I had a chick hatching so I stayed up

Any ways all my other chicks start out attatched to there shell by a littl cord but they all break off in a few minutes or so.
This chick hatched completly by midnight and this morning when I checked on him at 8am he is still draggin that bottom half of his shell around by that little cord.Its now 842am and its still attatched Im afaid he is gonna hurt himself? Any suggestions would be most welcome thank you.

is everything done hatching? I don't think he is going to hurt himself.

If you must remove the shell later, snip it wih a scissors closer to the shell.. then examine the "cord" and trim just the dried part away..

I have one egg thats left in there, and the chick . Ill go clip it off and see how it goes thank you.
