I bought a little chick to keep company with the lone Silkie I hatched...They bOth lived with some ducklings for a few more days until I hatched some more chickens.

Now the ducks are in one brooder...and the chickens in another...But the one I bought as company for my lone silkie keep jumping out and getting into the duckling box!!!!!

The Silkie is fine with the younger chicks... But I cant keep the other little one in its own box...

I was going to put the chicks in a box with higher sides...but just decided to let the chick be with the ducks for now..its just too cute.

Anyone else ever seen behavoiur like this???

I had a lone brahma to hatch along with 3 speckled Italian quail once. The chick grew up acting exactly like a quail and was never accepted by other chickens.
