I'm on incubation day 20. One chick, her name is Thora (I'm Icelandic), hatched on late day 18. No sign of pipping from the other eggs though. Anyway, because Thora is alone and doesn't have the company of her siblings she gets bored easily. I'm her favorite toy; she likes to follow my fingers, peck at them and asks, sorry, chirps for me to let her out of her brooder.

I've made a makeshift bridge for her to walk over and play around but it doesn't spike much interest in her.

Please help me with this, guys.

I've read mirrors can help, as well as trying stuffed toys or hanging a feather duster slightly off the bottom of the brooder so the chick can go under it. I hope you get another to hatch. A single chicks doesn't necessarily learn to be a chicken and will have problems being with them. Maybe you could find a few locally if you don't hatch anymore.

Thanks, I'll try it. I think the rest will hatch though. But if not, my uncle has some chickens and I might send her to him if the others don't hatch.
