Chick trouble

The chicks are about 10 days old. Two of them will stretch their neck way out and move their head around in an odd way.
I've had lots of chicks, but i haven't seen this before. They act normal otherwise. They still eat/drink and move around. I'm concerned it may be a crop issue and I'm not sure what to do since they are so young.
Advice please.

Huh...never heard of this...the fact that they are still eating and drinking is always good. Poops okay? I hope someone else chimes in with an answer...

What have you been feeding them? How do their crops feel to you? Have you given them any chick grit? Can you post pics of the chicks? How often does it happen? They will sometimes do this when a bit of feed is having a hard time going down the esophagus into the crop. I'd suggest, that even though they may be just on chick starter at this point, that you give them some CHICK grit. It's sized specifically for the chicks. While the literature says that birds who eat nothing but packaged feed don't need grit, grit is a natural part of the digestive process for chickens, and may be beneficial. I offer grit to my chicks, and they go ape over it. So, when you do give it, be prepared for the feeding frenzy, and only give them a little bit!

They are on chic starter only. I do however have a pan of dirt in there for them so they can đust themselves.
I agree with you, they act like they are trying to get something to go down. On one of them the crop is lopsided. It feels full, but not firm. It started this yesterday and the other started this morning.

I have had a chicken that did this before and now he is a beautiful and healthy rooster. I'm not saying this is what yours is, but my chicken, as a chick, did move hs is head around weird. It would twist in ways that it shouldn't. Is this like yours? If so, it eventually got so bad we thought he would die, and we fed it, and he ate some molasses, which we saw might help. But when we used an at-home antibiotic, it worked wonders. I think this just worked for us and we were lucky, but it may work for you as well. Don't give up! We didn't give up and he is such a friendly little rooster, with his flock. Maybe this is the same problem, but , maybe it isn't, but try calling someone. If you have any more questions, just ask me.
