Hello! I think it’s one for some updated pictures of my modern chicks!
I currently have 7 ‘almost’ adults, and 15 younger chicks/young birds that are either moderns or old English Bantams, then i also have two American game bantam chicks.
I’m really looking forward to the end of summer. I already signed up for state fair and some other shows, but didn’t enter these babies. But they (not sure which ones, defiantly the lemons, but the birchens I’m not sure yet.) will be going to the the Central Illinois Poultry show this Fall, and I’m excited to put forward some nice lemons blues, as that’s what won the show last year, a nice lemon blue pullet. Sadly, EVERY SINGLE lemon blue I have so far (not Including two that are too young to sex) are cockerels.
Here’s the pictures of the seven! I didn’t get one of the Birchen cockerel, he isn’t very tame. And I couldn’t find one Birchen pullet when I was taking pictures, but she is a very nice pullet, only she has what looks like will be a black cap, but maybe (hopefully) the white will feather in with age. The other birchen pullet (pictured) has me conflicted. I love her body and head, and chest lacing, but she has white veins in her upper back, but not in the rest of her lacing.
Is this called splicing when there is a vein in the middle lacing? I can’t remember if this is what the technical term is.

This is Bean, LB cockerel.

This (on the right) is Piper, LB cockerel, one of two that have the lighter coloring. These two are from the same breeding pair.
