This is my first flock and as I was checking my girls for pasty butt I noticed one has a bald spot by her vent.

Is she just getting picked on by one of the others or is it something more serious?

If she's active, eating, drinking, pooping, and you don't see any of the others "going for" her, I bet she'll be okay. :)

Nothing looks red or inflamed, oozing, or crusty.

She's acting just fine so I'm hoping I'll start seeing her bottom become fuzzy again! I've wanted chickens for so long and I now that I have them I want to make sure I'm doing everything right. Thank you for your input!

Our 5 week old BLRW has a bit of that going on too. He is acting normal so we just monitor him daily. His feathers are coming in just fine so no need to worry unless we see signs as indicated previously. Sometimes, they just have different. and often inconsequential, things going on.
