Chick with abscess on leg?

is it me, or does the right leg look the same size as the left from the back? Different colour mind, but was it that way before you cut it?

I am a bit stumped.

My suggestion would be to either suture up the wound, or pinch the skin together and apply super glue to close the wound, you don't want it open like that, or she might get an infection. Leave her be until Monday, then take her to the vet.

I would suspect this is a hernia as well. The wound needs to be closed or she may become septic. Do you have any antiseptic on hand—something like chlorhexidene (Hibiclens) or Betadine? Weaken either of those with water or use saline and place a dressing over it until you can get her to a vet or close the wound. Do you have any family or friends in the medical field that might be of help if you can’t get to a vet?

That's what I thought,but wanted to be sure.
Still wonder about the vent and tail.

Cut is made on the front of the leg.

Vent is normal and the tail is there just hard to see as this breed takes longer to feather in so the tail feathers are still very short

Have you been able to close the wound or get an appointment with a vet?
