chick with air filled crop and vomiting

My most active, largest, healthiest (or so I thought) barred Cochin chick who is a couple weeks old has a lot of air in her crop. She just shot some clearish liquid out of her beak and stood their panting and gasping for a minute. Crop is still pretty air filled.

Is there anything I can do or is it a waiting game?

After doing some research I gently massaged the air out and removed all grass and dirt from the bedding. I will keep an eye on her. Any pointers or tips for preventing/fixing this issue would be most welcome.
