Hello, I have a 2-4 week old chick that i recently got almost two weeks ago from a local family owned feed store. when I picked her out I chose her because she was the smallest in the brood and was so cute and I didn't notice anything wrong until we were in the car on the was home. When we were in the car I looked into the box to see the chicks and she was very unsteady on her feet but i thought it was just the movement of the car. flash forward and were home, I put her in the brooder with her sister and the existing turkeys I had got the week before when I noticed that she was very unsteady on her legs and couldn't walk very well, but was eating and drinking. The next day I moved them all outside into an old rabbit hutch and also let them all out onto the grass when I noticed that she has a very hard time keeping her balance but can now walk fine, but she gets very excited and tries to run which she can but then she can't stop and then she falls and can't get up for around 30 seconds and goes straight legged then she gets up and is fine. she also shakes really bad but other than that she is fine
I have had her for a week now and she has not gotten worse if anything she is getting stronger while walking but she still will fall and can't get up. she also lays down most of the time.
I don't know if she has a neurological issue, if she had a stroke or if she has mareks disease
Please someone help me figure this out the only vet we have around charges a hundred dollars when you walk in the door for chickens
