Chick with beak issue

4 week old EE was normal looking 2 days ago. And now this?
Is this scissor beak? I haven't seen this before. Only heard about it.

Yup that’s cross beak or scissor beak.

Ugh.... Poor thing. I'm doing some research on it right now. I guess it's not immediately a death sentence?

Good luck with your sweet little one. Cross beak tends to worsen as they get bigger. Be sure it is eating and drinking... Bear hugs!

Yes it's cross beak and not immediately a death sentence but only time will tell how much it'll worsen and what impact it will have on the chick's quality of life. Keep a close eye on that one and make sure it can get enough to eat and drink.
