Chick with bubble in its neck.

I've just hatched a chick whom appears to have a bubble in its neck, I've heard of this before. what is it how do I fix it? cant post pictures at this time.
that might be completely normal.

The skin on a chick is so thin, that normal things can look odd.

If it is acting normal, I wouldn't worry.

Thing is its siblings neck looks nothing like this, this chick took longer than it should have hatching and in the end I had to flip the egg over so it could get out. It had its egg shell stuck to it and I got that off, this chick turned out what I'm aiming for in breeding so the whole bubble thing puts a damper on that... it looks like a large blister...

I have seen what you are describing. ..

but it is late, and for the life of me my brain just isn't working and telling me the scientific names of anything, and I am even blanking on the basic anatomy. :old

But I am almost positive it is normal.

I have hatched and raised chucks since I was 8 (or there abouts) and I am now middle aged.

Sorry I am blanking.

Does it fix itself? would the chick be okay to breed with? :hmm

usually it is a small bubnle, and goes away by itself. It is usually due to hatching stress, and not a genetic issue. So yes, if the chick grows up into what you want... nothing wrong with breeding it.
