MY little guy died. I tried treating with Corid in the water but he just wasn't strong enough. I'm sorry but, I really have not heard of those products before. Best of luck with your babies.

I agree with you myself, but lots and lots of folks want to keep things as "natural" as possible, whether they opt for organic or not (I find they usually do though). The ones that survive likely have natural resistance, and thusly should be healthier birds, that pass on better genes.

I have been giving medicated feed from day 1. I hatched this guy out of a group of shipped eggs, so vaccinating was not possible I believe that this is just one of those illnesses that attacks compromised chickens. He was the only one to make it to hatching and even then I had to help a little. It is a survival of the fittest world...

Pantacox is Toltrazuril, which is not a Coccidiostat, but a Coccidiocide, which is great to use for Coccidiosis, especially when dealing with an Amprolium resistant strain. Thought I'd mention that :)

and it kills all life stages of coccidia oocysts, rather than mimicking Thiamine, like Amprolium does, and starves them. Toltrazuril is great! I would not give vitamins while they get the Pantacox.
