Chick with deformed wing

How’s Nemo doing today?
Honestly, really good! He's a little terror (hormonal teenage cockerel) who likes to bite me and pester his brother, but otherwise he's good!

He obviously can't fly, but doesn't seem to bothered (his "good wing" hangs a little low, so I think both of his wings are weak). He's also pretty small (compared to the three other cockerels I hatched at the same time), but definitely thinks he's the head rooster. He LOVES to crow (see attached picture 😂)

The interesting thing is his colors - he's like a little patchwork quilt. He's mostly black, but his silkied feathers are red, his saddle feathers are buff, and his hackles are whitish/silver. He's also got some barred feathers in there too. It's a weird mix!

Here’s some pics I took today (don’t mind the random April snow, it IS New England!)

I took some pictures of him today, so I figured I’d stop by with another update on Nemo!

He is the funniest, weirdest bird I’ve ever met. He is constantly dancing - for me, for his brothers, for my cats… it’s hilarious. He has the weirdest crow, and is always talking. He also loves to race around his enclosure like a crazy bird.

I’m still convinced he’s a chimera because of his feathering, but no way to know for absolute sure.

One thing that concerns me is that if I pick him up lately he is fully twisting his neck all the way upside down. He’s always had a neck tilt, but this upside down thing is new. It’s only when I hold him though, so I wonder if it’s a virus that’s irritating his ears and causing some vertigo. Either way he’s a happy and mostly healthy boy. He lives in a bachelor flock with his two brothers, and they mostly get along (occasional minor squabbles - never any blood).
