Chick with dislocated jaw (NOT crossbeak!!)

That's what I'm dealing with, I'm wondering if it's stress because her only friends had died recently due to what we think electrocution by lightning. And it was two days later when I walked in and noticed her mouth was just... Hanging open. I wondered if it was a dislocated jaw maybe, she wasn't eating or drinking... I just want the slightest bit of help I can get so she can feel better, she's just over a month old. (Her name is Dublin btw) And I want her to live a longer life. So I hope I can get the tiniest scrap of help :) Dubs looks just like the pic and it might help us understand a little bit more! Please and thank you!

The original post was caused by a predator attack and this is a very old thread that I just happened to get an email had received a new post.

If there weren't visible burn marks on your deceased bird then I wouldn't presume lightening but maybe you also had a predator visit? Stress from losing a flock mate does NOT cause the beak to hang open.

Please consider starting a new thread and include pictures of the baby you hope to help! :fl
