chick with feathers missing on her belly

this year we only have one chick as we have had problems with hatching this year. she is a gold lased wyandottle and i was giving her a cuddle today when i saw she had no feathers on her belly and its a bit red although it doesnt seem to give her much discomfort. its the only area where she is missing feathers.
shes in that weird stage where they have some feathers and some fluff haha. could it just be that the fluff came out and the feathers havent had chance to grow?

Yeah, wait a week, by then she should have her belly covered. Don't know if your in an area that's hot, but constant heat can make the feathers grow in slower to help cope.
