Chick with infected eye

We adopted some chicks yesterday and one had a bad eye due to another chick pecking at it. It appears to have infection. I have tried to wash out but it is keeping it closed. She’s very lively otherwise and eating and drinking normally. Is there anything that I can use from the home to clean and or medicate it? Or would I be able to find something at a local pet store since it’s Sunday?

If a vet visit isn't an option, you could try Terramycin Ophthalmic Ointment. Tractor Supply Company and similar stores should carry it. Best of luck!
